More official Nexus 7 accessories appear online, including folio case and keyboard case

Android Central

The previously-leaked Nexus 7 POGO dock and premium case are set to be joined by a few more official accessories before long. UK retailer MobileFun has revealed five new accessories for ASUS and Google's Nexus 7 tablet in a blog post today, including a host of cases that also double up as stands for the device.

The line-up of Google-sanctioned, ASUS-manufactured accessories includes --

  • ?Nexus 7 Stand Case: A case that's also a stand. Slide the rear of the stand backwards to prop up the tablet in landscape orientation.
  • ?Nexus 7 Rotating Stand Case:  As above, but with the ability to rotate to portrait orientation too.
  • ?Nexus 7 Folio Case: A leather case for the Nexus 7 with a magnet for tripping the tablet's built-in magnetic sensor. This means it can toggle the screen depending on whether the case is open or closed.
  • ?Nexus 7 Bluetooth Keyboard Case: ?Similar to the vanilla stand case, but with a full Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard on the inside cover.
  • ?Nexus 7 Screen Protector: It's a screen protector for the Nexus 7. Go figure.

There's no word on when these accessories will become available for purchase, but at least we have confirmation now that they are indeed on the way. Any of these jump out at you? Hit the comments and let us know which you like best.

We've got more pics after the break.

Motorola Droid RAZR now available in blue in select stores, online May 17

Motorola Droid RAZR

Verizon this morning officially announced that a blue version of the Motorola Droid RAZR is available in select stores and will be sold online starting May 17. As we noted when we broke the news on Sunday, it's the same RAZR we've come to know and love (and wonder why it's still being sold when the MAXX exists), and it's still running Gingerbread.

Purported Samsung Galaxy S3 service manual and device render leak online

AppId is over the quota AppId is over the quota

Android Central

Another day, another batch of tantalizing Samsung Galaxy S3 details. Today it's a scan from the service manual for the device, along with a purported list of specs, which comes from unofficial Samsung blog SamMobile. If you've been following all the various leaks, the image above will be instantly recognizable from a handful of leaked photos we've seen over the past couple of weeks. Specifically, it's the spitting image of what one of these devices might look like with its plastic dummy shell removed. The phone's profile is also an exact match for the shape teased by Samsung Denmark on Facebook last week. So it's entirely possible this is our first look at the real, actual, final design for Samsung's new flagship phone.

What's particularly interesting is the inclusion of physical buttons -- absent in some leaked images we've seen, but alive and well in others. However, we've heard rumors that Samsung was considering both buttoned and buttonless designs for the Galaxy S3, so it makes sense that prototypes of both sorts might exist. Besides that, it looks like a thin, sleek phone, not a million miles away from the Galaxy Nexus.

As for the spec list, there's nothing too surprising there. A quad-core CPU had been rumored (and has now been confirmed by Samsung), though the 1.5GHz number seems a little off to us. The reported 4.8-inch screen is also interesting, as earlier leaks had indicated a 4.6 to 4.65-inch panel.

Despite the genuine appearance of the image, and ?SamMobile's? strong track record when it comes to leaking this sort of thing, we're still inclined to take things with a pinch of salt for the time being. With many different pre-release leaks floating around, the actual Galaxy S3 design remains shrouded in mystery, and there's no guarantee this isn't just some intermediary render. In any case, there's not long to wait now -- we'll be live from London in just seven days to bring you full coverage of exactly what Samsung unveils.

T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G now available online and in stores

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, the latest Android device to find a home on T-Mobile's "4G" network, is now available online and in stores. For $149 on contract, you'll get 4-inch Super AMOLED display with 480x800 resolution, a dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz, and both a front and rear-facing camera, all while surfing on HSPA+ speeds of up to 42 Mbps.

We didn't really love it or hate it, largely because of the now-outdated Gingerbread under its hood, but if you're in the market for an affordable device with specs that are difficult to sneeze at, the Blaze 4G might be right up your alley. You can grab yours now through T-Mobile at the source link.

Eric Schmidt's Mobile World Congress keynote now online

Eric Schmidt

One of the highlights yesterday in Barcelona was Eric Schmidt's keynote address. Schmidt always entertains, and as former CEO and current chairman at Google we're usually listening when he speaks. At Mobile World Congress this year, Schmidt was focused on one thing -- the digital divide. We did get to see a nifty demonstration of Chrome for Android Beta from Android Product Director Hugo Barra, but for the most part it's an hour of hearing Schmidt's thoughts on how to bring connectivity to areas of the world that don't have it, and why that matters.

It's worth a look. There's no hidden gems about Jellybean or some secret-stealth project the folks at Mountain View might be working on, but it's a look at what drives Schmidt, and in turn Google, to go forward. You can find it embedded after the break.

HTC One at Mobile World Congress highlights reel now online

Youtube link for mobile viewing

HTC held one of the biggest events at Mobile World Congress this year when they introduced the One series. It's not hard to understand, they certainly look good, and from what we've seen they blow us away with speed and usability. Even Sense has been trimmed and now looks, and in our opinion runs, much better. I think most Android fans are looking forward to seeing them be released.

What most of us didn't get to see was the presentation and show they put on in Barcelona. We missed them demo the .7 second shutter on the new camera hardware. We missed when Peter Chou told us about the new way they are integrating Beats Audio. And the info about micro-arc oxidation would have been great to sit in on. That's why we're pumped to see that HTC has posted a five-minute video with highlights of their event.

It's not as fun as being there, but it will have to do. And it makes us want to see these phones on the shelves even more.
